Pre-requisites

Extraordinary jobs are particularly demanding. The staff of Securitas satisfy the special requirements which enable them to provide security services:

Training and Further Education


Basic training and in-company professional certificate
You are introduced to your new duties step by step under the expert supervision of an instructor. Simultaneously you attend theory courses in order to round off your professional knowledge.
A Securitas employee should, for example, know what measures need to be taken in cases of fire, gas leakage or when encountering someone on the property or how to deal with an open safe, signs of a burglary, water damage or a bomb threat. He/she is also familiar with technical aids.
Within three years you have acquired the necessary professional expertise and may take the in-company final examinations. Successful graduates are awarded an in-company Securitas Professional Certificate.

Federal professional certification
You also have the possibility of acquiring the Federal Professional Certificate which entitles you to bear the protected job title «Specialist for Security and Surveillance». These vocational examinations, which are recognised by the Federal Office of Education and Technology (FOET), are voluntary but recommended at Securitas, especially in view of special tasks and management duties.

Specialist and management training
After acquiring the Federal Professional Certificate other career paths are open provided you have the aptitude required. Specialists and members of the management are educated in higher courses of study.
